For over a decade, I have silently waged a fight against my illness - doing it alone.  I exercised, took care of myself, pursued natural health and medical treatment.  I fought back as the illness progressed, until I could not control it anymore.  Today, I can no longer work because I have only a few good hours, not even good days, and all my energy goes into the most basic taking care of myself.  Without a job, I no longer have insurance or income to pay for the treatments that could improve my health, and I have been getting worse as a result.  I can't do it alone anymore.  It is time to reach out for help - I am reaching out to you now.

I have so much I still want to contribute to the world!  I have always done volunteer work, taken care of people who needed my help, and done whatever I could to contribute to my community.  Even though I am ill, to the best of my ability I still provide comfort and counsel and good cheer to others who struggle with chronic illness.  If I could just get enough better, I know that I could reach out and do so much good for others.  But now, each day is barely living.  Please help me live again!

My goal - and the goal of my volunteer supporters (aka Team Fabulous) - is to raise enough money for TWO SOLID YEARS of state-of-the-art treatment for my chronic condition (from everyone I have spoken to, 2 years is the time it takes most people to see full results from the protocol I want to follow).  We are also negotiating reduced rates with doctors, labs and alternative medicine practitioners.  A multi-pronged approach - combining physical therapy, alternative/complementary/natural care, and medication - has the best chance of really making a difference.  I have only been able to afford sporadic, on-and-off treatment.  As soon as a drug seems to be working, I have to discontinue it because I can't afford it!  ARGH! 

I can't really post all the details of my treatment plan on here because of trying to safeguard my medical privacy. I've managed to get reduced rates from a few places, and am still working on lowering prices elsewhere.

To raise this money, a nonprofit spiritual community, All Seasons Chalice church of Boulder Colorado, has set up the Anastasia Healing Fund.  All your donations to the ASC - Anastasia Healing Fund are tax-deductible.  You will get a thank-you note from me, and also a receipt for your tax records.  All donations and expenses are accounted for and reviewed by the ASC accountant and board, so you know that the money is spent on health care only.  (I will fend for myself when it comes to finding living expenses!)  The church takes a 6% cut of the donations in exchange for providing the tax status and oversight.  ALL of the rest of the money is dispersed directly to health care costs!
